Cruise Ins To Be Held Fridays Cruise Ins will be held every Friday night in Blanchester. These events will begin this May.

Blanchester Historical Society Studies Houses The Blanchester Area Historical Society held it's meeting on Feb. 26 at the Blanchester Public Library. The main topic of conversation was finding information relating to the age of houses in the area.
The museum and library are open from 11 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Another interesting topic was the subject of Catalog Houses, which were sold by Sears and other companies from 1908 until about 1940.

State Wrestling Update Blanchester's Jake Howe and Alex Panno won their first matches in Thursday's state wrestling tournament.
At the 119-pound class Alex Panno defeated Mitchell Dandurand of Bascom Hopewell-Loudon by a 7-5 decision. Panno will now take on Mike Kovach of Bedford St. Peter Chanel.
At the 145-pound class Jake Howe earned a 13-2 major decision over Alex Betts of Bloomdale Elmwood. Now, Howe faces a big challenge taking on Madison Plains’ Zach Nelson in the quarterfinals.

And Two Wrestlers Remain... In keeping with the tradition of Blanchester wrestling, two young men advanced this weekend to the State Tournament. Alex Panno, at the 119-pound weight class and Jake Howe, at the 145-pound weight class, both finished third.
Also worth mentioning, Jeff Panno, at the 160-pound weight class, finished sixth.
The Ohio State University’s Schottenstein Center will host the event on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Tournament Game Postponed The Blanchester boys basketball tournament game tonight has been postponed, according to BHS athletic director Ron Duncan.
The Wildcats will now play 8 p.m. Thursday night against Felicity at Sycamore High School.
Wrestling Results-Southern Buckeye Conference Blanchester goes home with two 2nd Place finishes.
103-pound division - Thomas Deaton 2nd Place with a loss of 8-6.
Heavyweight division - Doug Smith, 2nd Place with a loss of 3-1.

Blood Pressure Clinic in Blanchester The Clinton County Health Department will hold blood pressure clinics from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 19 at Blanchester Friendship Acres.
Clinics also will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. every Monday at the county health department.
The health department will be closed Feb. 18 for Presidents’ Day.

The Blanchester FFA has been named the Number 1 chapter in the nation. The FFA won the national honor with its Models of Innovation in Community Development program. This is not the first time Blanchester's FFA has won top honors. In 2003, the Blanchester FFA was named the No. 1 chapter for its Models of Innovation in Student Development.
